Haloview Backup camera

The monitor on dash has a lot of wire. Very long. I am installing the mc7109 It is only about 2 feet to 12 volt connection. Would like to know from anyone that has installed the unit how you handled excess wire

Agree cord is long, after getting length I needed I zip tied the balance into a nice tight package. My Ram has a 12v socket on the dash inside a tray, I simply lay the excess wire in the tray. Very happy with my Haloview.

I got the rear view mirror mount. Keeps monitor out of way and where you would normally look anyway. Tucked wire up into headliner where it meets top of windshield. Remainder of wire stays tucked in weatherstrip on A-post, down to glove compartment area, where I swing it across to 12v oulet. When I'm not towing, I just unplug from 12v cord near top of A-post and take it down from mirror.

BTW, it's an observation cam, not a backup cam. Two different animals with big differences.

Can you make another shorter cable? My Haloview RD7 has a connector on it that the power cable plugs in to. You have a choice of hard wired or using the cigarette plug for power. If so, use the hard wired cable and buy a plug to make your own.

I have the Haloview MC5111. The cord is hard wired, and obviously waaayyyy too long. Zip ties to the rescue!
