Heated Mattress in 2021 2109S

I saw the specs for the 2109S in several places and they mention a heated mattress. I've not found a power cord, controller, or anything on the mattress to indicate it has a heater unit or pad. Friends who just took delivery of a 2511 also noticed the same thing. Was this option eliminated? All the specs show it as a standard option. It seems like a good option for us since we live in a northern area.

I have no idea whether it's been eliminated but it's easily reproduced. It's just a heated mattress pad that runs on AC, only.

My Rockwood's heated mattress was just that, not a mattress pad. It was AC only though.

Have you checked the mattress itself to see if there is an electrical connection on it? It is usually located along the mattress edge. That would be the first thing I would check to make sure you were given the correct mattress, the cord will be just a separate item about 6' long that has a thermostat on it and plugs into the wall. The dealer / factory may have forgotten to put the cord with the trailer or possibly it is packed with all the literature? But definitely make sure you at least have the correct mattress for starters.

And when looking for the connection, it is in the center of the mattress at the top. At least that’s where it is on mine.

That's what I meant. It's part of the mattress but is essentially the same as a heated pad. If Rockwood no longer supplies it, or if the dealer swapped it out, a heated mattress pad bought anywhere will have the same effect.

Cord

The cord for the heated mattress (love it!) was in a separate zippered bag with the warranty, owner manual, towel bar, etc. As someone said, the connection is at the head end of the mattress.

Heated Mattress cord

I found my cord in the bag with all the papers that come with the RV.

FYI, the control for my mattress heater is labeled 150W.

When we took delivery of our new 2205s we were told it’s no longer included. That being said you could easily add an after market unit or get an electric blanket.

I spoke with my RV dealer and he said that we probably didn't get the heated mattress since Forest River was having problems getting them. He was aware of this and asked FR what they were going to do since it was part of the standard option on the RV. FR said they would put the better grade of mattress in instead of the heated unit. I noticed when we got our RV that the mattress seemed much better quality than our travel friends unit which had the heated mattress. All said, I will get an electric blanket if we decide we need it and enjoy the better mattress.

That seems like the better option. You can always buy a heated mattress pad or blanket. Replacing the mattress is a lot more expensive.
