Hope I didn't go wrong ?

Goodyear has a sale on their Marathon tires this weekend, buy four, you get a $100.00 discount.

I purchased four ST225/75R15-D1 for $542.00, mounted with lifetime balance, rotation.

The $542.00 is with the $100.00 rebate. Hope I didn't go wrong with "D" rated tires ?

Has to be better than the cheap China made tires that came on the 8285WS with a "C" range.

Should be better as you now have expensive made in China tires.

You should be in great shape. Our Chineese Marathons have been great. On their 5th year and 25,000 miles; zero issues. Will replace them next spring sheerly due to them being 5 years old. Most of these tires are Chineese and I think the fact that they ARE Chineese causes many to unfairly malign them. You'll be fine. Happy camping.

Well, first off Goodyear makes ST tires at several plants. The plant that made mine is in Gadsden, Alabama (code MD).

Additionally, Goodyear puts their name and reputation on the line when they brand tires made in other countries and so inspects them to the same standards as their American and Canadian made tires.

This is different than the "No Name" or "Never heard of Brand" tires sold at some discount houses. Although they too must meet DOT standards, government inspectors are responsible for compliance; not company QA inspectors who are representing their company and are held accountable for what is delivered to the customer.

I too did it... just bought some new tires from the store I normally buy all my tires from (Les Schwab Tires), they have yet to have steered me wrong, plus the tires which are chinese made carry the same road hazard and full replacement warranty as any tire in their store. They also offer free flat repair, rotation and balance.

Maybe a chance that I am taking, but the tires that I just replaced were also chinese tires, which with all the miles I have put on them never let me down.

Just of note, the saddle Yoke that ties the two axles together at the end of the leaf springs... yes it is stamped "made in china"
