Hoses
Hey all, last year bought our Rockwood, and bought a cheap, white, 25' camco water hose at Walmart. Needless to say you get what you pay for.
I am looking at Flat hoses or Expandable hoses,
anyone have experience which is the best Hose?

I've tried expandable, flat and just about every other option and finally settled on these, not inexpensive, but built very well and very easy to handle. These don't get unruly when the temperatures drop, they're always very manageable, nothing like traditional hoses.
I carry a 10' and 25' and use the 10' a majority of the time.

I ride with one of these at my main water hose:

And one of these as an aux hose:

The main water hose is EXCELLENT, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
The collapseable hose is JUNK, and I wouldn't waste it on my worst enemy (well, maybe I would). I would still purchase a collapsable one, though I'd try for something with real bronze/metal fittings and better quality overall.
Also worthwhile is a Water Bandit, for use with unthreaded water connections (of which I was surprised to find more than a few, including in national parks):

Thank you Tundra, any problem with kinking or too bulky? We have Limited storage in the 8329ss.
Thank you Rhumblefish for the suggestions, look much better than my campco hose.

No, very manageable and crazy light weight. I've seriously tried about 10 of the most popular RV hoses over the years and nothing compares to these.
You have to visit their website to get a 10' made, but it's super handy.

Thanks again Tundra, and like the idea of it being made in USA.

Have the flexilla 10' x 2 with swivel grips to connect whole house filter. Seem good so far. At least the connections don't twist up an the hose can be coiled up to store, which I couldn't say for the blue camco hose that I was using for far too long. Good is never cheap, you know the rest!

I tried the 25' Flexilla, it was just so heavy and bulky. Other than that it was a decent hose.

We buy the cheapest fresh water hose and replace it every year. We tried disinfecting it one year and we found it not worth the trouble. Strange stuff grows inside the hose even if we store it dry. About the time we thought we finally had it disinfected, more 'stuff' came out.
The second year, the original hose gets recycled into a rig washing, sewer rinser, etc. hose. If it survives to the third year, it waters the plants at the house.
