How do you open this Cabinet on top of the TV?

Hi,

There is a cabinet on top of the TV. Inside there is the Teton HD WifiRanger device. I want to open that up and put in my mofi 4500. I tried looked everywhere but I do not see any screw on the side on the bottom. How do you even take this thing out? do I suppose to push some secret door for it to open? or slide it out somehow?

Anyone know how to open this will be great!!

small gap for me to work inside? I hope my mofi 4500 will fit in there. Is that the only way to work inside of there?

yeah. because I have been fixing my trailer . heheheh. Trying to get this mofi 4G setup done right. Teton HD is a joke. Only a wifi ranger. The issues with people camping in Forest and area with no signal. Thats when the 4G LTE come in. This thing work pretty good.

If you can't find screws or any other type of attachment that would allow you to open that panel, it should tell you that it's not a cabinet and not meant to be accessed. Proceed with caution.
You might try removing the tuner and then using an endoscope to see what's in there.
But you probably have figured that out already.

Are there any screws on that Teton face plate? If not, you might be able to pry open the faceplate.
That piece of wood doesn't look like it's made to be opened

that type of paneling is usually very thin and just stapled from the other side around the edges, and can be easily pried loose, ... the paneling above my fridge was, and if it is it can be removed with just a screwdriver, SMALL pry bar or the likes, ... but also, if it is, ... once removed, you'll have to be prepared to reattach it with some other method since you can't re-staple it from the inside, ...

+1 in agreement with removing the stereo unit on the left side. Faceplate just pulls straight off. There will be 4 screws holding it in. Take out those 4 screws and pull the stereo out carefully, unplug all the plugs from it and you'll be able to access inside the cabinet from that hole.

I agree with the above post that it's stapled in and can be pried loose. You can use velcro to secure it back in place, if you don't want to mount it permanently.

That is piece of thin plywood that is stapled in place. You can remove it by carefully tapping around the edges to get it out. There are several options to reinstall it. I would be cautious as to how much electronics you put in that area as there is no air circulation and they can overheat. You may want to add some louvered vents on the face of the panel.

You can edit your forum title in the control panel. I just gave myself a promotion. It was time.

That "Senior Member" title is assigned automatically by the site software based on post count. He has LOTS of posts so.............
As stated, member title can be set by the member in the User CP.
