How many 6volt batteries fit on 2509S trailer tongue?

I know...not another battery thread. But Im trying to figure out how many 12V batteries will fit on a 2509S trailer tongue? It looks like it is wide enough to fit three across, lengthwise front to back? Hopefully going to upgrade next year and trying plan ahead. Anybody have measurements of the battery tray on their 2509S they could measure and post here? Or better yet, anybody put three 12v batteries on this trailer?
Thanks in advance!

The inside measurements for the storage tray are 31 1/2 inches by 14 1/2 inches (approximately). We have 2 12v batteries mounted on ours. If you turned them sideways, you could fit a 3rd battery with a few inches to spare. Just keep in mind that this adds extra weight to the front end of the trailer.

Hope that helps....good luck.

I put 3 group 31 batteries on our 2504s. Being a 2016 it has the square front end. I used a tote I bought from Walmart and shined up the rack that came with the trailer. Based on the measurement given 3 group 31s will fit inside those plastic boxes easily. The boxes say they are for group 27, but 31s will fit inside them. If you measure the boxes 4 might be possible. But it does add weight. Jay

I don't see how three 6 volt batteries are going to work. Doesn't 3x6v=18v? Two deep cycle grp 31's are what I am using.

3x6 =18, or 6, or really unbalanced 12, depending on how they are wired.

The thread title asks HOW MANY 6 volt batteries will fit on a tongue. But the OPS discussion is really about 12 volt batteries. I suspect the OP didn't mean for the title to say 6 volts, but 12 volts.
