How to Turn Off This Light?

Question is how does one turn off this exterior light that illuminates the entry area. Just got the MiniLite 2104S and can’t find a switch for this lightClick image for larger version

I'm not familiar with that, but does it turn off when you fold the steps up?

Mine is controlled by a switch on the control panel in the camper

That seems unlikely. Those look like the solid steps on my 21DS, that fold up inside the doorway - which is super difficult to do from the inside.

The 2104S is pretty much the twin of my 21DS, but I have the 2020 model and don't have this light. It does look a lot like the one I have on the front, for hooking up in the dark, but that one has an obvious switch on the light body.

To the OP, is there not a switch for it on the control panel inside the door? I'm thinking maybe in the row of switches that has the interior lights, the awning light, porch light, etc?

Yes, in the row of switches you will have one labeled "Step"

A picture of the control panel would be helpful!

My porch light (aka: the awning LED light) controls the light at my steps. See if that turns it on and off.

Had my porch lite refuse to turn off. I knew where the switch was but it wouldn’t work. I have a remote hand held unit that will work the slide, jacks, and porch light. I had accidentally turned on the porch lite with the remote and I has to turn it off with the remote. Then it worked fine with the wall switch.

My 2020 Sandpiper is controlled by the porch light, both work off the same switch inside control panel.

X2 what J.Shea said. Had the same issue with a remote.

Does it go off when the door is closed. My steps have a light under them controlled by the door switch.

That's pretty common on motorhomes, but I don't think I have ever heard of it on a small travel trailer like this one.

This was a stupid question posted by an idiot and the idiot is me. The step light is indeed controlled by a switch inside on the control panel, it's clearly marked 'Step Light'. Had just brought the camper home yesterday and noticed the light stayed on so shut off the battery disconnect switch, and then later today found the switch on the control panel.

It happens. Glad you got it figured out!

Light

Should be labeled "Step Light" on panel inside trailer on switch panel. That is the way mine is.

I guessed you didn't read the OP's post #16, 4 posts before yours.
