Is side camera needed on a Geo Pro 20bhs?

Anyone know if I need a side camera on my goe pro 20bhs? While driving down the road I can see clear on the left and right side. Is it neccessary to get the side camera? I already got a REAR camera already.

thank you

I have no clue why someone would need a side camera, on a 21ft TT.

If you can see clearly I don't see why you would need cameras.

Your better off if you glance at your mirrors which takes a moment. Taking your eyes off what is in front of you through the windshield to look down at a display and orient your self to what you are seeing to me is bad. Much better to get used to using your mirrors and safer too. Not to mention you can't see the display clearly with the sun shining on the display.

Got it!! Do I need to get an extended mirror when driving? is it neccessary?

How about just using the side camera for parking? is that suitable for that? or just need the rear camera?

I would not worry about side cameras. If you need to see the side while parking just adjust your side mirrors and use them. As for needing extended side mirrors, that's up to you. The primary reason people use them is to give them a better view behind the trailer. Your rearview camera is doing that.

Here's what it comes down to. If you want to buy and install the side cameras, do it. Do you need them... no.

When you first start toeing a new trailer you will be hyper vigilant and a bit stressed. After a while you will relax. You still need good situational awareness, but you can relax.

I used to tow a Hobie 18 catamaran sailboat through the streets of Salem and Marblehead, MA. The boat is 7'11" wide on the trailer. With the mast hanging behind the transoms a bit the overall length was about 22'. I towed with a VW Passat. The boat was 2' wider than my car and longer. If you have ever driven in that area you know the roads are packed with cars parked on both sides. They are basically paved cow paths and not very wide. And I had to back down a 9' wide alley with cement walls on either side to launch the boat. No cameras. No damage to property either. Towing your TT is pretty straight forward. After a few miles you'll be fine. Just drive around a bit to get used to it.
