JT Strong Stabilizers for Electric Jack

Looking to find a video on how to install these. Is there a good video you have found? We just got a new Rockwood and I don't want to mess up our camper.

This topic is discussed often here with many seeming to like either the JT Stronarm brand or the SteadyFast brand.

Do a forum search for either and you'll get lots of reading.

I'm using the JT's and they work well for my 5th wheel.

We had the JT’s installed on our TT by the dealer before delivery. 2 in the front and 4 in the rear (bunkhouse). Here are photos that show how ours was connected. Hope this helps!

Only aggravation is that due to the electric jacks, the T handle screw holes had to be put in facing the ground - not enough clearance to keep the T’s in the arms when retracted. So, the T’s go in every arm every time we set up.

If the arm is oriented that the T-handle faces down (for clearance) why do you remove the T ?

BTW... I'd be pissed about the bent side fascia and the big gap along the frame to let 'critters' in.

I take them out so they don’t wiggle out and get lost on the road.
Yes, the gap! [emoji849] I knew that would get some reaction. It’s not visible unless you crouch down really low as I did for the pic. No critters so far nor over the winter. I store at home so unless it’s a squirrel or possum or raccoon, I’m thinking we’re good there. Some things must be accepted for the greater good lol

They make a spacer kit for the strong arms kit for the electric stabilizers. That may fix your problem.

When Lippert installed ours, they put the 4 up front, and the 2 went in the back. Also a bunkhouse. All 6 attached to the frame. On yours, it looks like the centre of the back ones is attached to a crossmember instead of the frame?

Just tighten the t-bolts when the arms are up. They shouldn't come loose. I have 6 and they never loosen when we are on the road. They just went over 4,000 miles this winter.

Of course if you take them out, then you don't have to remember to loosen them before starting to lower the arms. Trying to move landing gear or rear stabilizers before loosening t-bolts is not good.

I have been considering a set for Surveyor 32BHDS as the DW complains the grands moving during the night disturbers her beauty sleep. My concern is I have a Hide-A-Spare located between the front door and front stabilizer. I'm concerned this will be an issue. Any one have experience with similar set up
