Just ordered 8289WS

Now the wait begins. Had originally thought we might get an 8280WS but really liked the 8289WS. Ordered the 50 amp service and second a/c, fireplace, lazyboy recliners, along with diamond package. Can't wait. The 2501ss has been very nice but looking forward to the additional living space. Our dealer, The Great Outdoors in Evans, CO was fantastic!

Thought I'd be welcoming you to the 8280WS club!

Congrats on the new camper, I'm sure that you'll enjoy it.

Congratulations!!!!!

We ordered ours on 1/14/13, and it arrived at the Dealer on 3/9/13.

Also Diamond Package, 50A & Second Air. Didn't go for the Lazy Boys, as the DW is a couch potato and I'll be at the table with Laptop most of the time.

We also went with Minimum Carpet, and really going to like the ease of cleaning the floors when at a rodeo.

Thanks all. Dave, thought the 8280 would be it as well. Two things pushed us to 8289. 1) galley drain so far from others 2) hot water tank so far from bath. Also got minimum carpet. Would rather sweep and mop floor instead of shampooing carpet.

Tom, the 8289WS is a very nice floorplan and would be our 1st choice had it been available in 2010.

Happy camping...

Dave

Well, just checked with our dealer and they said the unit should be off the line May 1. Of course we are already camping that coming weekend so will have to use the "same old" rig for that one and possibly the mid-May outing. But hopefully by Memorial Day it is here and ready to go. If not, I'm going to be putting some miles on the truck and going to get it myself! Wouldn't hurt the truck actually...taking it in for oil change and bedliner next week. We got it last May and it only has 2800 miles on it so far. Makes a difference when you have a few other cars to drive.

I bet you will love the unit. We do. We sat in one at the dealer only to discover someone had already put a deposit on it. Dealer said he would be ordering another one, so why didn't we help him fill out the order sheet, and get it the way we wanted. We did just that. Order placed in mid-October, unit arrived 1st week of December. We have been out 4 times now, total 19 nights.

We bought an 8289WS last October and spent the winter Texas. This is a very good floor plan with very little I would change. We never felt cramped for space. We pull this with a 2012 GMC 1500 with a 6.2 litre engine. The truck sits level with trailer fully loaded. The larger motor makes it very easy to tow. I am very impressed with the Revolution hitch as my truck only has a 5'8" box. I never worry when I have to make a U turn. Overall we are very happy and would buy this trailer again.
