Just put a deposit on a 2019 1/2 2509S

I've been lurking here for a few years, reading and learning as much as I can from everyone and want to say thanks. We had a few unexpected problems become an opportunity to purchase a TT and decided the 2509 was the best fit for our family of 4. I can't wait to pick it up later this week but I have to drive to Denver to get it and then turn and drive home to Carbondale the same day. It will be a long haul but worth it. Cheers and we will see you out on the road next spring!

Thanks! We are from Carbondale, CO so the drive to Denver will be a little less than yours. It also means driving west on I-70 from Denver and this time of year I would rather be heading your way with a trailer in tow. Keeping my fingers crossed that the forecast holds through next Sunday; Sunny and warm (for this time of year).

Great to hear about the new rig. Years of enjoyment for the family, but take your time with the inspection. Have a check list. Make sure you get answers to all of your questions. I understand you need a quick turn around but a few extra hours making sure everything is right can make all the difference in the world. You've got lots of folks here ready to help.

We just picked up a 2019.5 2509s, we love it. The only thing that we don’t love is the closet. It’s the shorter one, they have since extended them to the drawer below. Still trying to figure out a solution to hand clothes.

Congrats on the new rig! I just picked up a used 2017 2509S, 3 weeks ago. Super happy with it so far.

Thanks everyone. Great point on the checklist and I do have a question. Is there a list that indicated everything that Rockwood includes with the 2509 mini lite? I see power cords, outdoor grill, manual slide bars, etc but I would like to make sure the dealer includes everything from Rockwood so that I don't end up having to buy it down the line.

Outdoor grill is an option, not standard.

I thought that was standard on a 2509? It is part of the Standard Package D (select models) and from what I've seen the 2509 comes with the grill. I thought the change to the outdoor kitchen to include another grill was stupid since they already include the detachable grill (however bad it is).

Hope this link works. This is kind of general but worth having.

I just looked up your TT, sounds like you put a lot of thought in to what would work for your family. Also looks like an easy pull...

You are correct. Our 2019 mid year 2511S BBQ grill was included with Standard Package D. There was no propane hose included in the grill's box. Both the grill and the outside LP connections are set up with quick connect/disconnect fittings. We have no plan to use the small grill. We have another large grill. We hook up our large grill with a small propane tank at the campground's table.

Congrats on the new RV.
The last RV we drove 19 hours(ok I drove) straight to pick up. DW said never again...I said yes ma'am...on the outside.

Fwiw...I didn't care for the grill anyway.

I'm not really worried about using the grill but I am trying to make sure I receive all of the items Rockwood ships with the trailer. I was reading last week where someone was told the TV was optional when it should have been included. I may not use it but if I paid for it, I want to make sure I receive it. Has anyone put a list like this together? I don't think this is included in the PDI checklist that has been put together but I will check again. When I look at photos of 2509s for sale I see water filters, silverware trays, jack and slide manual handles, etc. I'm trying to make sure nothing is left out. It sounds like maybe the propane hose for the detachable grill does not come with the grill? Thanks a bunch for the replies as this is really helpful since this is our first TT.

Congrats on the purchase. Carbondale is a cool place. Redstone castle is kind of weird and interesting. Awesome camping. For the history buffs, a lot of the wild west legends moved around though this area and Doc Holliday's grave is up north a bit at Glenwood Springs.

I'm out east off the I-25 corridor. I also drove a bit ... out to Indiana to buy mine.

Take it slow and enjoy the scenery. ;-)

Good luck.

Kurt, Here is what to look for or ask about if you don't have it:

-32 inch Furrion TV and hookup cables (installed)
-TV remote control
-Slide out lock bar
-Manual crank for the electric tongue jack
-30 amp power cord with bag
-Filter for the water filter (the filter is not installed, but one is included)
-Plastic water filter wrench
-Toilet paper roll holder (not installed)
-Shower caddy attached to shower wall
-Bedspread with two pillows
-Heated mattress
-Ladder for upper bunk access
-Kitchen sink covers
-Countertop extension (on 2 legs)
-Appliance/other docs; Rockwood inventory sheet with model and serial numbers (all in a pouch).
-Two sets of keys - entry door(2 keys), all outside doors (2 keys)

Not sure what extras might come with your outdoor kitchen and the above may not be everything.

This video may also help you see some of the items I mentioned above:

That is exactly what I was looking for and could not find. Thanks for taking the time. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
