lighting conversion problem

I have been installing LED lights in my 2007 Rockwood 5er so I can utilize Solar power more efficient. I have a light in the slide out above table. Glass ceiling mounted with 2pcs 1076 bulbs. Purchased LED replacements and found out they are not compatible or is it the light is wired wrong? wires into rotating switch on side of light base.

1076 bulbs have 2 pins in bottom and 1 filament. Light is wired 1 pin positive and opposite pin is negative. Testing with meter found base is not grounded. 2 wires into sockets. Sockets riveted to metal lamp base but not grounded.

LEDs are both bottom pins are positive, 1 bright and one dim. Case is negative.

Was the light base rewired to accommodate the 1076 bulb? Should it be bright/dim switch instead of steady on/off I've never had to replace bulbs and no numbers fro bulb on light.

Just guessing but I'm thinking that you have the wrong LED light.

It's possible the two LED's are not the same, hence one is bright and one is dim.

If they were the same and if the wiring was wrong to one socket, I'd expect one LED to light and the other to not light, since they are light emitting "diodes" and diodes prevent current flow in one direction through them and allow it the other way. However, if it were me, I'd pull the fixture off the ceiling and verify that the positive wire (which should be from the switch) is wired to the same pins on both sockets. That would take the wiring out of the picture and point to an issue with the LEDs.

One LED might be "bad," i.e., made incorrectly. If you have another 1096 equivalent LED, I'd swap them around and see what happens.

It's the wrong bulbs, I had the same problem. I'll see if I can find the number on them for you.
