We have a 2013 8329 and LOVE it! It is so comfortable and spacious. The floor plan is fifth wheel like and serves us very well. I tow it with a 2014 F150 Ecoboost with absolute no problems. Our trailer has a 30 amp service and I wish it were 50. I believe current models are 50 amp. We have over 5,000 road miles on it with no related problems. The dealer did replace a fussy fireplace but other than that it been clear sailing. Enjoy your new "home" and travel safe.

Love my 8329. Have had it since April 2013. Only wish it had more outside storage.

Looking to buy a Rockwood 8329SS

We have had our 8329ss for 2 seasons now with no problems. Been to southern Florida twice from eastern Ontario. Pulled by a Ram 1500 with no issues. Great floor plan very roomy. Took many weekend trips as well.

Hi, new member here!

I'm shopping for first RV ever, just picked up a tow vehicle, now ready for a trailer. We so far like this model the best, there are a few available within 3 hours of here. My concern is the best dealer, per Yelp reviews is 2 1/2 hours away. I have been led to believe a local dealer for service is important and will be needed. Don't know if I should buy from the closest place with crappy reviews or the place we really like, 2 1/2 hrs away, and great reviews!

Do ALL dealers honor the factory warranty? I have not been able to find much about warranty on Forrest River web site.

Thanks,
Dale

All dealers honor factory warranty for their own customers.

Some will honor warranty for people that didn't buy their RV's from them the same as if they had.

Some will honor warranty for people that didn't buy their RV's from them but they get put at the end of the list, after the dealers own customers.

Some will not honor warranty for people that didn't buy their RV's from them.

Need to ask your dealers to see which they are.

This seems a strange practice, not like car service at all?

If I may ask, is Forrest River good about customer service? I have narrowed my choices to this 8329SS or a Grand Design Reflections. Both had very similar floor plans, features, and price. I gave gathered from posts on GD forum that almost everyone there feels their customer service is great! I don't have a sense about Forest River. Wondering how folks here feel?

Thanks,

There are NO 100% RVs, our Forest River Experience is well above the RV average! Now Dealers are another story! Youroo!!

Wow! The above post would be much easier to read with a little punctuation.

I would not buy a Forest River again. The walls will delaminate on you and they will not cover it, they leave you hanging

We have the 8329SS, 2013 model. We love it. We took the chairs out that came with it and replaced them with recliners. We also removed the table to add additional space for our dogs. Great unit. We had a few issues when new nothing major.

Have had our 8329ss for a little over a year now. Used 38 nights and a little over 4000 miles. Tow with a 2013 tundra double cab. Very few problems found the first trip out. All got fixed under warranty on one visit.

Beachcamper I will be taking my first extended trip in 4 weeks going from Florida to Central New York. Quick question for you on trips did you check air at each gas stop?

OswegoLion when we travel longer distances like from Charleston, SC to Dayton, OH or Charleston to Miami we only walk around and look at tires for bulges or whatever at gas or rest area stops. Have only checked tires first thing in the morning after leaving from home or a campground after being there several days. We carry a small 12 volt air compressor for the tires and truck airbags.

I think it's the slime brand from Wal-Mart. I did splice a 25 foot piece of lamp cord into the the power cord so it would reach from the truck cigarette lighter to the trailer tires. The compressor has a digital display that can be programmed for the pressure you want. It shuts off when the preset pressure is reached
