Low Water Pressure to Entire Unit

We are out camping and today we started receiving low water pressure to the entire unit. The pressure from the campground through my water regulator and outside water filter appears to be good. Any recommendations on how to fix this?

Do you have a water filter that’s clogged?
Is your water hose damaged internally?

Happened to us one time - it was the filter. There was no obvious visible clog, but once we removed the filter, put the case back on empty and then bought an in-line filter the problem was solved. We have used inline filters since and I always keep one on hand. If the pressure starts dropping - replace the filter and the problem is resolved.

Check the hose washer/screen inside of the female hose connection for the city water connection on the outside of your RV. It could be clogged. Pop it out and clean it off if it is dirty.

Check the water pressure from your filter to the inside if can.
Also if you had used air pressure when you last winterized, there may have been some debris pushed to the screens on you faucets and shower head, and it may just now be showing up. Check those as well.

In an emergency

In an emergency you can backwash an inline filter. Just unscrew it from the tap or hose and hold it in place backwards with the water on. (I also always keep a spare washing machine hose (double female) around and could use it for a more positive connection.)

More likely to be low flow than low pressure. Since it's for the whole unit, Bruce's guess (clogged screen where city water connects) is the most likely cause.

EDIT:
Are you absolutely certain that you have the campground tap turned ALL THE WAY OPEN?

Smile Double regulator?

I lost pressure to my entire unit once when I put a water regulator on the water source that already had a regulator, there for dropped it dramatically.

That was the issue! The inside water filter was apparently clogged. We removed it and tested it out and all was fine. It’s only our 3rd trip out in our new unit so I’m surprised that it clogged this fast.

I always run a gallon or two out of the spigot before I ever hook the hose up to it just to make sure there's nothing in there to plug things up. saves lots of trouble.

Glad you found the issue.
But I have to ask, why are you using an outside water filter, when you have an inside water filter? [emoji848]

We recently had this issue. It was the water regulator.

Im just guessing that during the winter it froze (because I did not insure it was drained) and stopped working.

I replaced it with a simple regulator, not-adjustable and everything worked just perfectly.
