Mini Lite 2304 Murphy Bed
Those of you that have the murphy bed, just wanted to get your general impressions, likes and dislikes v. fixed bed (I am a big guy at 6'4" and 300lbs.).
My wife really wants the sofa, so the murphy bed is my compromise.
Thanks!

You'll like the murphy bed. Most other stand alone beds will be the same size anyway. I'm 6'2", 210lbs. Works great for us. The couch and the extra room while the bed is up is what sold us. And the couch is much more comfortable than I would have thought, with storage under it.

we ordered the murphy bed ( still waiting for it to come in) but it was the reason we picked the trailer, love the idea of the bed going up and all the extra room when the couch is there, plus room for company to sit ( instead of on our bed!!! ) if i was you, i would be more concerned with shower size!!! LOL,, good luck!

We just got our 2304 without the murphy bed and LOVE the camper. The bed is more comfortable for us than the murphy bed......KS? We live in Wichita, you can look at ours anytime you want.

We traded our 03 2304S with a standard bed for our current 10 2304S with the Murphy bed. As far as comfort they stack up the same. There is so much more room with the bed up we are very glad we went with the Murphy bed. It's still hard to believe that the new one is exactly the same size as the old one and has a lot more room inside.

Murphy Bed
Prior to receiving our 2304s I read a comment on this site stating the murphy queen was very hard and uncomfortable, and they were looking for a mattress pad. So we turned our first nite with some trepidation. First of all the concept is outstanding. Having the bed in the vertical position gives you as much room as you would have in a 28-30' trailer. Friends have come in and were amazed at the space we have.
Back to first nite. We are both poor sleepers. We slept like Van Winkle on this mattress. Then we set the electric heater. We died and went to heaven. This was the single most pleasant surprise about the trailer, along with a dozen other features we just love. Great great concept.

We got a new 2304s last fall and have not yet used it. We had a Hybred before this and are looking forward to not having to sleep under a canvas top anymore. The murphy bed is what we thought was the best feature of this TT. Our first trip will be June 16-19, I can hardly wait.

We got our 2601S with a Murphy bed this spring. Its our first trailer. "She who must be obeyed" fell in love with the space and the ability to have a conversation with the cook or kids at the table. Without the Murphy bed I think we'd still be 'just looking'.
I don't love folding the couch; but I love camping with my family.

We've lived our 2304 for 70 nights since September, pretty much non-stop. The added space provided by the Murphy make workamping, and extended stays very comfortable. My wife likes a softer mattress, so we put a two inch foam pad on our Murphy and she's much happier-which means I'm happier, too! The heated mattress was a surprise when we picked up our Murphy, but a very pleasant one.

My wife gotten swallowed up by our Murphy bed. Funniest thing ever, she was making the bed while sitting on it, got to close to the end and voila, bed closed with her in it. Most peaceful camping trip ever.

We love the Murphy bed in our 2501ss. Like others, it offers a great compromise. You get the luxury of a queen bed and couch in a shorter trailer. They made changes to the Murphy bed with the 2010 model year to a standard bed rather than pieces that fit together that some found uncomfortable. I'm 6'2 and the only gripe i have is that my feet hang off the end a bit. But most RV beds are short queens so unless you look for a unit that specifically has a standard 80" bed that's what you are going to get anyway.
