Mini Lite 2511S Owners Thread
DW and I are in Nevada. We just factory ordered a 2019 Mini Lite 2511S from a dealer in Indiana. We wanted to start a Mini Lite 2511S Owners Thread for owners of this model (and everyone else) to contribute to or view.
In July, Rockwood re-designed the 2511S:
Exterior changes that I know of:
-New color schemes (Champagne and optional White Two Tone)
-Larger pass through doors
-Angle iron battery tray vice the wider mesh screen tray
-new style entry steps now fold into the doorway
Interior changes that I know of:
-New interior fabric color schemes
-Former light maple cabinets’ option is now a darker maple option
-Acrylic double bowl sink is now stainless steel double bowl
-Cooktop has a glass top that folds flat, level w/counter top
-Oven now has a glass door front
-Hide-A-Bed Sofa is different
-Different shower door
Some items are now standard that were options before (rear ladder, oven, maybe some other things). Power awning w/LED lights is standard.
Optional 4 power stabilizer jacks from factory.
The next Rockwood Roo/Mini Lite brochure is suppose to be published in late September.
This latest re-design is just showing up on dealer lots. Not many photos yet.
In an upcoming post I’ll send photos of the latest 2511S.

You might want to check out this thread instead of starting a new one. There will be broader interest in what you have to say.

Thank you Jay. Your suggested thread is the Social Group for the Mini Lites. I prefer to stay specific to the Mini Lite 2511S and occasionally refer to the Mini Lite Social Group.
FYI, we recently sold our Salem trailer and more permanently moved here from the Salem trailer forum. In the Salem forum I started a post called Cruise Lite 195BH Owners Thread over 2 yrs ago. That thread is now over 600 posts and 73,000 views. We learned and shared a lot of great information specific to our former trailer.
In time, we think this thread will be an invaluable resource to us, other Mini Lite 2511S owners and anyone else interested.

I'm only suggesting that since there are so many flavors of MiniLites/MicroLites out there, it becomes fragmenting to have multiple threads on trailers with similar model numbers when you're looking for information. Sometimes I wish the mods would consolidate threads so that there weren't sooo many da** categories! Does anybody else feel this way?

Totally agree Jay. The 2511S is a new model. Came out earlier this year as far as we know. There has only been one design change to it that came out last July.
If you want to see something cool, go to my Post #601 in the "Cruise Lite 195BH Owners Thread" in the Salem trailer forum. Every few months I categorized all the posts to minimize the confusion. I plan to do it here as well.

2511S New Interior Color Schemes
Here are the new interior fabric, wood and floor colors for the 2511S (since July '18).
The optional light maple raised wood cabinets and refrigerator (in 2511S trailers prior to July '18) are now a darker maple raised wood (still optional).

Not a 2511 owner but following this thread. I lkkoed online and the unit seems nice. My worry is lack of seating during those rainy days. I know you can get the theater seats but if you do there goes the table. Camp4Two as you use your trailer please tell me if this is a problem. Thanks Jay.

Latest Mini Lite 2511S Floorplan
Here is the latest 2511S floorplan from Rockwood. The rear ladder shown as optional on previous floorplans is now standard. This schematic is the only one available from Rockwood until the Mini Lite brochure comes out in late Sept.

We ordered our 2511s with the theater seats, no regrets. Have a height adjustable folding table that stores nicely between the seat and fridge, bought at Walmart. There are also removable pivot snack trays for both outside arms. One of the reasons we moved up from the 2109s was the uncomfortable jackknife sofa and clunky table.

The floor plan seems nice. Only one exterior storage and that rock collector front window.

Thanks. The one pass through exterior storage is larger than our former trailer. Along with our covered F150 bed, we have plenty of exterior storage for the two of us. This trailer has a lot of interior storage, more than any 26 ft. trailer (with one or two slides) we researched.
Yeah, unfortunately all the 2018-19 Rockwood Mini Lites, Ultra Lites and Signatures have the front windshield. Researching threads on what Rockwood owners have done to protect it.

That front pass thru looks huge if the door size means anything. Is there also storage under the bed that you get to from the inside by lifting the plywood on the bottom half of the bed? Jay

Yes, the bottom half of the bed lifts up. Rockwood also put three drawers at the end of the bed so you can both lift it up and/or pull the drawers. The floorplan schematic I posted earlier shows the bed lift up area but not the three drawers.
I'll post some interior photos tomorrow.

Congratulations on your purchase! We have narrowed our search down to the 2511s or the 2506s. My wife is a light sleeper and is thinking the 2506s may be better concerning road noise in the camp grounds. Still evaluating both options...

Thank you. The 2506S is a nice trailer. It has the outdoor kitchen. Both models have a permanent bed that we like over the Murphy bed. We liked the extra clothes storage the 2511S wardrobe slide out had. Not a big slide out, but enough for the two of us.

My thoughts:
I'd be leaning toward the 2506S because:
- U-dinette
- More kitchen counter space
- Outside kitchen (if you like/want it)
PROVIDED you can access the bathroom and fridge with the slide in.
However, the 2511S looks like it has a larger bathroom sink, and maybe more room in the bathroom with a rectangular shower rather than the corner shower. With the slide in, you can access the bathroom, but what about the fridge?
And for both of them, if you ever want/need to turtle, can you access the bedroom with the slide in?
Just some items to think about.

All good points to consider Rock. Interested to see what the change is for the hid a bed mentioned for 2019. We will likely pass on the u shaped dinette and go with the hid a bed in case one of our kids come along... Also I absolutely hate sitting at the dinette!!

Interior changes to the new 2511S
Here is a sample of interior photos of the latest 2511S from the new color schemes shown in Post #6. However, the new color schemes does not show the colors of the theatre seats (may be other colors than white shown here).
Notable changes: Darker maple raised cabinets (optional) replaced the light maple raised cabinets and now have large handles. The stainless steel double bowl kitchen sink is now standard. The shower door is different.
We ordered the optional darker raised maple cabinets (w/solid doors), optional chocolate Hide-A-Bed sofa, optional stainless steel appliance package and optional wood look floor. The Hide-A-Bed sofa comes with a free standing table approx. 55"L x 18"W.

Here are a couple videos of each model as you compare the 2506S and 2511S:
2019 2506S (before Rockwood’s changes last July):
2019 2511S (before Rockwood’s changes last July):
Videos of the latest models should be coming out soon. They are starting to show up on dealer lots.
