Mini Lite FIC power jack

I am curious to know why on the FIC power jack , there is a warning, "Do not use blocks for additional ground clearance" ?

If i don't, I need to lower my power jack additional 5-6 inches. Not to mention the jack is almost fully extended.

Are they talking about a level surface or a decline . Does anyone have a answer ?

My jack has a pin to take out and the jack foot will drop about 5 inches. As far as not putting a block, my dealer had mine on a block. My warning label says not to use a block too, but on level and solid ground, I don't see an issue. Just use common sense for safety purposes. Happy Camping!

Has to be a CYA for them.

I am sure people have used 2x4 lumber stacked up 12 hight before or their kids building blocks. They probably used the letters s,t,u,p,i, and d blocks.

Agree on the CYA part, however I would put a Hosspad or something solid on the ground first before I started adding plastic blocks. The Hosspad will eliminate the plastic blocks sinking into the ground.

It could be CYA but it's possible for the block to roll if there's lateral pressure on the trailer tongue. It depends how they're stacked, I'd think. A low, wide block or stack of flat blocks seems less likely to roll. A stack of 4x4s on edge definitely could.

Common sense comes to mind but common sense isn't common, it's learned, and not everyone has the same knowledge and experience.
