minilites owners rig pictures

I would like to ask minilite owners to provide pictures of their outfits and details of their minilites models and vehicles. Here is a picture of our 2011 minilite 1809s and our 2009 uplander. Pulls very nicely behind our van.

Nice looking truck emptypocket. It looks like you just bought it from the factory. It is nice when you dont have salted roads in winter that destroy you investisment. Here in Canada it is another story!

Oh but we do have salted roads here is Kansas - you should see it today! It started thawing yesterday & by next week we will have temps in the 50's. Thanks for the flowers though - very thankful that a 7 year old unit with over 100,000 miles on it can still looks as good as it does.

I notice the striping on you 2011 is different than ours - our unit was assembled in April 2010 - figure yours was later thus the difference.

I just noticed the diffrent striping as well - as soon as I pick my 2306 up at the end of the month I will post pictures as well. Wished I had gotten a slide but atleast this way I have no worries of a slide malfunctioning - both have good looking combo's

sherdep and emptypocket: our trailer was manufactured in august 2010 and comes the explanation for the differents stripes. Also on the minilite differences a passage thru luggage was added in front with a relocate of the water heater. But I can tell you what they took off with this modification. The curtains are not lined anylonger and this made my wife a bit upset.

My Rockwood Mini Lite 2502s

Here is my Rockwood 2011 Mini Lite 2502s. The photos are of my son and I returning from Lakewood, OH where I picked the TT up from RV Wholesalers. Great experience with them and great pricing.

Pulling this with a 2007 Ford Explorer Sports Track 4.6 liter V8 with no problem. Equalizer WD Hitch and Prodigy P2 break controller. Went up and over the Cumberland Pass in KY, the big mountain at Jellico, TN, and the Great Smokies on I-40 From Knoxville to Waynesville, NC and on to Demorest GA. A very smooth ride with this TT

Scannon: you have the best of the minilites models. This is a model that beat all this line of trailers but for us we could only buy a 1809s because of our limited pulling power otherwise this is the model that I would have bought.

Capicine:

Thanks, I looked at several models including the 1809s but kept coming back to the 2502s. I pull this with a 2007 Explorer Sport Trac with the 4.6 liter V8 without problem. Weight was my initial concern, but after talking with both RV Wholesalers and Ford I pulled the trigger on this model.

So far I am very impressed with the Rockwood line and I am on a "shake down" camping trip as I write this. So far everything is great.

Enjoy your Rockwood and safe camping.

This is our customized 2011 Rockwood 2304 with the trusty Dodge Dakota. Top photo is at our home, getting ready to Eternabond the roof. Bottom pic is at Grants Farm in St. Louis, taken on our return trip to Albuquerque from purchasing at RV Wholesalers. The 2304 was built without the murphy bed, which gave us storage room up front. The Dakota is a V8 with factory tow package - it pulls with no problems, unless we are driving into a strong headwind!

I also find that on a strong headwind that we can feel it. It is a trailer with a full 8 feet wide and this create a bit of resistance. Most of the trailers in these size are running in 85 to 90 inches compared to 96 with ours. But a narrow trailer feels very cramped inside. I was looking at one with a pull out that was only 85 inches and no way I was to buy it. The mini lite feels like a big trailer inside and this make the whole difference.

I know the slide out makes a big diffrence when it is out - I wished I had gotten a slide but for the configuration I was looking for I couldnt find one so I got the 2306
I pick mine up Wednesday at 10am - I am getting antsy cause it feels like eternity waiting for it to get done

I noticed you had the murphy bed removed from your 2304 for more storage. I am curious on how you sleep two on just the jack knife sofa? Hope I am not prying, it's just an interesting conversion.

Best regards,

S Cannon

Thanks for the inquiry - no, I don't see your question as 'prying'! Our unit is built with a standing queen bed with the pass-thru storage under the bed - just like is found in the 2104 / 2502S. We had a 2104 previously & upgraded to have the larger bathroom & a pantry, but didn't want the murphy bed/jack-knife sofa because in that setup there isn't the up-front storage that we had found to be so handy & for us we had found the dinette to be plenty of room for us to sit. RV Wholesalers was able to get FR to build it customized. Here's a few pics.

that looks just like the way the 2306 is setup except my triple bunks is where your fridge is
BTW is that the tuscan cream and the wood look floor
I went with the Oak cabinets but got the wood look floor upgrade cause it felt diffrent compared to the one that comes standard and I liked the wook look better
