MorRyde steps

Ok reps, a question for you. In April of this year we bought 2018 Rockwood 8301 WS. About a month ago we were at another dealer and was told the moryde steps came standard. Why did we not get the moryde steps? We thought we were getting the newest model and have pull out steps,

When you say "Ok reps", to whom are you speaking?

I am trying to find who can answer the question so perhaps a rep from Rockwood division. Not sure how to go about getting the question answered

At the bottom of each page, this site's Disclaimer says "ForestRiverForums.com is not in any way associated with Forest River, Inc. or its associated RV manufacturing divisions.' Very few FR product/line/division employees frequent our site. You should go to the Forest products site Forest River RV - Manufacturer of Travel Trailers - Fifth Wheels - Tent Campers - Motorhomes, find your line and try the Contact Us link there.

Thank you! Am sorry I did not realize that. Sometimes we just miss stuff I guess. I will try what you suggested.

Absolutely no problem. We address this from members weekly. We have contacts lists here on the site but I'm on my phone in a pasture so I'd have a hard time finding them. My 2015 Wildcat had color and feature changes mid-year.

You should have a date when the unit came off the line on a sticker with your trailer info on the right side, your trailer could be new but, it depends on that date. More then likely it came off the line before the change. That's my best guess.

First off are you Sure about the "Brand of Steps"? Rockwood/Flagstaff units on display at the Goshen Rally and the 5th wheel units built at the factory in Plant# 10C had "Lippert Solid Steps" these have the Large Top step and Recessed feet! 400# Limit! MorRyde has extended Feet and Small top step! 500#Limit! I was more impressed with the Lippert design than the MR! Youroo!!

Some dealers, can special order their trailers and options they want. When we got our Cherokee in April, there were two styles of the same year. Ours had the MorRyde steps, electric jacks and dual AC on 30amps, the other had fold down steps, manual jacks, and one AC. About $3000 difference in price.

morRyde steps.

our Rockwood 8329ss was manufactured in August 2018 and it has the new steps standard. I think they changed a couple of things mid year.

Got word from Rockwood that moRyde steps were added in July. Guess I will have to bite the bullet and pay for dealer to add to our camper

Thanks for reporting back. I'm glad you made contact with them and that they could answer your question. I'm sorry their answer will cost you some $$$$.

I bought my 8301ws in November of 2017 and will add those steps to the rear bath entrance. The current drop steps box has already hit the pavement on a sharp incline. Bent a little bit still useable. I will remove the box once the other stairs are installed.
