I have a 2012 Forest River Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8265WS. I want to mount a tv in bed room. Found a spot that says tv mount area. My question is how or what size is the area behind the wall? If I thump on it it doesn’t sound it’s that big of a plate. And is it wood or metal?
use a stud finder and see how big the area is keep in mind the wall thickness I would not use screws longer than 1.5 in. With either wood or aluminum drill a pilot hole for the screws.

Get a magnetic stud finder you should be able to find it pretty easy. Search for threads on here about this, there are a couple with pictures. The plate is pretty big, at least on newer models.
