We have the same truck but a 2020 (new to us this year). What kind of mileage are you getting towing the 2883WS? I wasn't expecting good mileage, but I'm only getting about 8.5 miles per gallon. I agree with you regarding the pull-out couch. How did you modify it?

My wife doesn’t like the height of the cabinets by the sink. She needs a stool to reach anything. Other than that, so far so good.

mPG has ranged from 7.2-11. Averages between 8.5-9.5. I raised the back of the couch with two inch long spacers and longer bolts. It rectified the issue

I have a 2022F250 with the 7.3 gas. It’s a beast, tows my Rockwood easily. I have a chucking issue. Has anyone found a replacement for the Lippert Turning Point Box, I have read the Gen Y has one.

2883WS

I have had mine now for over a year. Only minor issues with the RV. But, I have experienced quite a bit on chucking on uneven concrete roads. And, there is absolutely, nothing I can do about it. The suspension is torsion bar. There is nothing available to ease the bounce. The turning point hitch is welded to the frame, so, there is no replacement for that. If I had known about this in 2021, I would not have bought the 5th wheel.

2883WS

After towing our 2883WS for over a year, I should have done more investigating. We have a serious chucking problem. There is no why to modify the suspension or replace the hitch pin to address the issue. I’m not happy. My F250 tows well other than that.

FWIW, we have a 2021 2883ws and pull with a Ram 2500 CTD and have not experienced what you are describing. The Ram was a very recent upgrade, but the previous Gen 4 Ram CTD did not experience this either.

It may be the hitch. I have a B&W Companion. It only happens on concrete roads. Other than that, it’s pretty smooth. But. Why would a manufacturer weld the hitch pin to the frame?

I don’t have the slider. I have spoken to others that have the same issue. Doesn’t seem to matter what vehicle make. My truck is more than capable. Payload is around 3,500 lbs. max pin weight is around 2,300 an it’s rated to tow 15,000 lbs. the trailer is well within it’s capacity. I have made sure that there is not to much weight in the rear. Don’t know what else I can do

We have a '22 2608BS & love it. Planning to upgrade to a 5er when we retire & do some traveling. So riddle me this Batman....all the literature I've seen for the 2883 shows 13'2" height. We were looking at Grand Design 295RL due to height. I'm limited to 12'8" for my overhead door. Is the 13'2" with 2nd a/c? What is the highest stick up making it 13'2"? Thanks for the info...

I live in Texas. Need the 2nd AC in the summer. Until then, the rear AC has worked fine

We're in Northern Indiana, looking to hit nat'l parks out west when we decide we're done working. I think we can make due with single a/c to be able to keep it in our storage bay at home.

We do not have the second A/C and our height is 13-1.

We have 22 F250 with the 7.3. You’re going to like it. Plenty of power.
