Murphy bed shifted?

Our Murphy bed shifted to the left at the top. One latch can't reach its hole and the other is almost too close to close the bed at all. I can adjust the position of the latches but would rather fix the root cause.

Unfortunately, I don't see anything obvious like a bent hinge. I suspect we're not the only ones with this problem. If you had it, how did you resolve it?

I haven't had that issue with mine, but from other post on the murphy bed I have seen I suggest you take a look at the mounting set up on the bed. It sounds like that has begun to pull loose on one side. I have looked at mine and added a few more screws to it as the factory tends to only put it about half of them.
Access by pulling the mattress back and pulling the straps up so you can see what's going on underneath.
You only have to be half contortionist to get in there. Use your phone to take some pictures.
Good luck!

I had to fix a few places in our 2104s where the wood comes separated from the aluminum framing or fix the framing in the bed and table.

You'll have to take a look as it moves through it's motion of closing as well as check when on the bed to find the motion.

I don't think I took any photos when we reinforced ours.
This thread has some photo's and explanations.

Tomorrow is trailer day. I've got to flush out the bleach. I'll check out the bed and maybe take a few photos if I remember. Ours was making some noise again last time.

Mine is closer to the right now, it was pretty even when we bought it. I recently did some thru bolting and riveting of the hinge to strengthen it up since we've increased the weight of the mattress quite a bit.

Thanks for the info. We return home from our 6 week trip in 2 days. I have a long list of stuff to fix/look at. This is one of them.
