Murphy Bed strap is broke already?

Hello Everyone,
My wife was showing our 2018 Rockwood Mini Lite 1905 to some family and the strap for the murphy bed came off already ( I think its the 2nd time we have pulled it down). Is this something I can fix? Does that screw unthread out, so i can attach washers to the other side? I can operate it with out the strap, but would be eaiser with the strap on. The other option would be to take it to the dealer, and what would they do to actually remedy this bad design in my opinion.
We have only had the 2018 1905 for a week, and a little discouraged with the strap.

We also have a 2018 2507S and our strap didn’t break but came off on first trip. I posted a pic on the “Rockwood mini lite fan club” on Facebook. The strap should have a washer installed when assembled to prevent from pulling off. You can put the strap on and burn the nylon with a lighter to seal.
