Mystery Switch ??

Hi All,
Would anyone know what this switch is for.
I have one in the bedroom under the cabinets between the two speakers and in the kitchen between the two speakers.
Many thanks
Bob

Nothing inside the cabinet, must be in the bottom. I can pull it down, not sure how much I'll be able to see.
Thanks
Bob

Does it not "kill" the speakers in each respective room?

Thats what I was thinking by asking what kind of wire was hooked to it .
but I assumed he checked that it didnt already go to speakers since both switches are between speakers already.
hmmmmm I shouldn't assume !

I have a similar switch in our bedroom. It turns on a rope light that is mounted on top of the cabinet, between the cabinet and the ceiling. It casts a soft glow on the ceiling. The one in our kitchen is for a rope light mounted in the toe kick.

it may cut off power to a ceiling light....turn on all the ceiling lights in those 2 rooms using the switch on the lights. then try using those 2 wall switches to see if the lights turn off. a wall switch in the bathroom of my rockwood turns off power to the vanity light, even tho there is a switch on the vanity light.

it's not the lights and the wires look like regular power wires that come out of the switch, and bundle with others as it disapears into the ceiling.
maybe I should offer a reward?
thanks for the thoughts

Man, wish I had one of those!

Maybe they're for an outside scare light or step light.
Our last tt had a curb side scare light and the switch was in the bathroom. The step light switch was mounted on the bottom of the kitchen's overhead cabinets.
