Need new decals

I've got a 2008 Signature ultra lite 5th wheel. All the decals are cracked and faded. The factory doesn't have a decal kit that old, and, unbelievably, the dealer tells me they won't sell a newer decal kit to that VIN! How can I get my decals replaced? Please help

You might try a company that does wraps for vehicles. The decals are probably copyrighted so they will have to be modified somewhat

OP, sounds like you already contacted the factory when you said they don't have decals for a 2008 trailer?

Maybe find a used one on a dealer's lot that is a year or 2 newer and grab the VIN off of it and give that to the factory parts rep? Contact them by email: Sheri Dunlap, sdunlap@forestriverinc.com

The local RV dealer contracts out any decal concerns. I got the name of this company in our city to install matching decals on the truck. This company could have duplicated any decal I wanted.

Decals

My decal kit for a 2010 Rockwood showed up today. They are just a little different from the 2008, but should work just fine. Thanks for your help.

Pete,

I about to order a replacement decal for my 2703ws. How long did it take and did they break the bank?

Dj,
Crystal is no longer there; Brittany has taken her place. Call Crystal's # in the thread. They quoted me $2450. In told her thanks but I'll have to make other arrangements. Surprisingly, she emailed back the next day and offered me a 50% discount.

Contact the Rockwood folks directly, bypassing the dealer.

They may be able to get you a newer (not newest) decal kit left over from a previous year's run.

Prepping the walls is the hardest part; putting the new decals on is mostly an art form, but there are quite a few YouTube videos on how to do it.

Heat gun and plastic scrapper (NOT A RAZORBLADE!) will get the vinyl off and a commercial decal glue removal product (This worked GREAT https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) will make short work of the glue.

Then a power buffer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1), wool bonnet (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and a Gelcoat compound like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1, will get the gelcoat oxidation and most of the demarcation line between the oxidized exposed wall and the bright white unoxidized (hidden by the decal) gelcoat.

Lots of elbow grease and care needed to prevent the buffer from running away.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I got a newer set last year from Forest River. You're right- it was a bear getting the old ones off and polished, but it came out well.
Thanks,
Pete

Need new decals

I have a 2003 Georgetown 345 Gaser and need decals all the way around. I called the number on the thread and left a message with a girl named Ruby?? I hope to hear from her Monday Morning but was wondering if I could buy decals anywhere else?

The factory is your best bet unless you contact a sign shop and have some custom made.

My daughter owns a vinyl shop and she can print and cut any graphic on up to 54" wide vinyl.

You might try to find a vinyl shop that prints their own vinyl locally and have them print the decals. Or as mentioned earlier in the thread, a wrap shop can do it as well.

Getting a nice set of decals is actually easier than getting the old ones off and prepping the walls!
