New 2902WS Floorplan

Has anyone seen the new 2020 2902WS floorplan? The curbside chaise or optional recliners/theatre seats are gone and replaced with the entertainment center and fireplace. This means the large curbside window is gone. A small sofabed is now where the entertainment center was. This required shortening the slideout 2'-3'. The 67" wide sofabed in the old slide is now narrow theater seats. The cabinets over the dinette are gone. The peninsula counter and folding counter extension are gone and the sink has been moved to the back wall, in the corner next to the fridge. The fridge is moved over to make room for the sink which cut the width of the pantry in half. Since the chaise is gone the storage underneath is gone along with the cabinets overhead. There's a lot of new counter space under the TV but who's going to prep food under the TV?

It looks more spacious but who needs that much open floor space? Technically, it's smaller as the large slide was shortened a few feet. The dw and I are definitely not fans of this new layout and are glad we got a '19 with the chaise. If you want to see the 2020 search RV trader. It's not up on the FR website yet.

You just broke our heart with that post.
We love the floor plan in our camper.
Storage is a big deal to us as we live in the camper for 6 months every winter.
Ours did not come with a fireplace, but I installed one under the TV.
Any cabinets that are gone would be a negative for us.
The pantry was a HUGE selling point for us.
I think FR will take a hit on this one, unless they have a new model to replace the 2902WS.

Makes me so glad bought the old style. The 2019 floor plan is what sold the trailer to us. The storage and kitchen area were a plus. Would have purchased the competitor one if came down to this and that. One can only cross fingers that maybe a typo of dealer since not on website. One has to hope!

I'm pretty sure this is the new 2020 floorplan. I first saw it a couple of days ago when a dealer posted it on the Rockwood RV Club page on Facebook. I then searched RV Trader and there are 3 or 4 listings of 2020's from different dealers across the nation with the same floorplan and 2902WS model number.

I just looked at all the pics in your link. What a shame! Lots of lost storage: pantry, under chaise, outside under kitchen sink, and some overhead.
I think FR has made a mistake with this one. As others have said, I'm glad we have an older model.
And who wants a TV next to the stove?
