New griddle in rockwood
Does anyone else hate the new griddle in the Rockwood. I think it's a bad design. Should come with a lid, flame goes out when it's windy, and nothing too keep the heat in because its wide open. Any suggestions to make this work better. My portable BBQ with a lid works better.

I have a new Rockwood on order that is supposed to come with one. I don't have it yet. However, I do already have a 17" Blackstone. The griddle that comes with the Rockwood is supposed to be a copy of the 17" Blackstone.
I personally love mine. It is extremely versatile. Since it is a copy of the Blackstone, I am not sure if the Blackstone accessories fit, but if they do, they sell a hood for it.

If you have a dollar tree by you, go purchase 6 or 8 Chopper/Scraper. They are $1 a piece. They can hang over the edge of the griddle and block the wind so the griddle doesn't blow out. They are also great for scraping it off after cooking.

There is also a Blackstone users group on Facebook that may be worth joining. Lots of recipes and idea's on there. I have a 28" one for my house and the 17" from my old trailer.

We love ours (2020). I'm just not going to hang it on the side of the rv. We are ordering the table that is half metal grate and half pic plastic (about $42).
My son has a Blackstone. There's not that much difference...at least not enough to get me to go out and buy one.

I love mine but am aware of the need for a windscreen. I just ordered the wind screens below. They're intended for a larger griddle but I think they'll work. The long panel is about the same width as the griddle that came with the trailer.

This is the wind screen I linked above. It's intended for a 36" griddle so you end up with an extra piece of the wide section, but it fits well.
The louvers cut into the screen don't line up with the gap between the griddle and the body but I wouldn't want them to, anyway. There's plenty of air access on the front and corners, and there are louvers in the body itself.

Does anyone know how to connect a 1 lb propane tank to the back of this suburban griddle?

You can assemble it from these parts. Other variations and sources are available.
The 1#-20# adapter may not have a shut-off valve. If so, that's potentially dangerous because propane will flow uncontrolled if you connect the adapter to the cylinder before connecting it to the regulator. Attach it securely to the regulator before connecting the bottle.
1 lb to 20 lb Propane Tank Adapter for Disposable Throwaway Cylinder
and
Stanbroil 6 Feet Propane Regulator Hose - 1/4" Female Quick Connect x Acme Nut
Edit: I don't recall if the griddle has the female quick connect. If so, this will serve the purpose:
Sturgisafe Lp Gas 1#Throwaway Bottle 120 Hose 100476-120PKG

Stanbroil 6 Feet Propane Regulator Hose - 1/4" Female Quick Connect x Acme Nut
