New Member: Excited New Owner!

Hello everyone! I am a new member of this forum and look forward to owning a new Rockwood 2909WS. It's on order and still have a month or two until delivered. My previous camper was a 1992 23' Scotty Travel Trailer that I owned for 11 years so you can imagine my excitement to have a new, spacious one. I look forward to this forum and hearing about everyone's experiences :-)

Welcome aboard from another newbie! We too are still waiting for delivery of our new 2104s and hope to have it within the next week or two. Unfortunately, our camping/trailering season is all but over, so we probably will not have it out until next year.

Welcome to both Tlynn and ColoRider and congratulations on the new units.

If you have questions or need help with virtually any issues with your trailers, ask away. Lots of friendly and helpful people on this forum, and usually, somebody can offer a suggestion or answer a question about your issue.

It is a good idea to buy the "extended warranty".. if they offer it to you.. We paid around $150 for additional year. Good luck and happy camping.

If you live close to the factory, you might call them and see if they will let you watch a bit when they build their unit. That would be cool.

Congratulations to our new members! As a new trailer owner, I would like to suggest that your 1st trip be local (no more than 2 hours from home) so that you can easily recover from any trip breaking faults you may find.

The 2nd year factory warranty was discontinued around 4 months ago.

Well, the good news is that you will be getting the new aerodynamic front end. Sometimes it pays to wait! I pick mine up in a few weeks. 21DS

Take the time before your new RV arrives to read through the forum ( especially the Library). Lots of great information and experience here. One word of caution. When you go to handle the business portion of your purchase, ( PDI and paperwork) leave your excitement at home. That part of the process is a business deal. Don't let the dealer use your excitement to convince to do something your better judgement tells you not to do. Read thru the posts on "things you should have for a new RV" and you can collect these over the next few months. If this is your first RV, video any of the demos you think you may forget. Most of all remember you are buying this to have fun.
