How is the storage?

We have a 2017 Flagstaff 26 FKWS which is basically the earlier twin of this model. We love the front kitchen and huge slide. Ours has the regular orientation on the bed with only an 18 inch slide for the wardrobe. We saw this Rockwood at the RV show and are seriously considering ordering it despite the beating we will take selling ours. The extra bedroom space with the slide is a huge bonus!

One question for you. It does appear you lose some of the exterior storage. Have you found that to be an issue at all when it comes to hoses, sewer hookups, lawn chairs, etc? That's about the only question holding us back! Congratulations on the purchase. We're very happy with the quality of these units and sounds like you re too!

The outside storage is a little light but we have adapted. Added a rack with two stacked waterproof boxes on the rear bumper to have more storage and added an extra storage tube for the slinky. The huge wardrobe gives a lot of storage.

Another 26FKWS owner. Did they upgrade the bumper? I don't think mine would be strong enough to hold a rack... Though it would be nice to have a full size queen bed.

Total weight of the rack and boxes is only 35 pounds, loaded.

The bed slide is a HUGE improvement and makes the livability of this camper incredible!! I understand the financial concerns, but it may very well be worth it for the future enjoyment.

Storage has not been an issue for us. I did add two sewer hose tubes under the camper for slinky storage but i would do that on any camper.

I carry 2 zero gravity chairs and carry them in the pickup bed. I have stood them up between the recliners and dinette without a problem.

All of my other gear goes in totes and they all fit in the storage area under the bed.

Get the 2608! You'll love it!

Do you have a picture of the box mounted on the bumper? I may do this myself.

New 2608 owner too!

We are picking up our 2608 BS on Wednesday and are pretty excited. We love this floor plan and how roomy it feels. We recently sold our 2007 Monaco Camelot 42 PDQ motorhome and are looking forward to not driving the behemoth anymore. The unit we're getting has theater seating, table and chairs, 2nd AC, and slide toppers.

How have you all liked your campers? I really like the front kitchen with extra counter space. I'm looking forward to camping in our new Rockwood and have been getting things ready!

Congrats on the new camper!

The floor plan is what sold us the second we stepped inside (after looking at may others). The front kitchen is perfect and with theater seating you have (IMO), the perfect set up.

We had the 2016 2608WS. Made the trip to Goshen and while there took the factory tour. They pulled out the 2608BSD from the finished lot when we told our guide what we liked and didn't like about our 2016. We were sold at that time. Went to local dealer who had( none could be found anywhere else) one on their lot. We argued with ourselves all the way to Nashville, TN. Called the dealer and made the deal. They gave us a good price and a great trade(more than I had expected) and we went back and got it.
DW says we can't go to Goshen again because of this!

Photos with slides in?

New member here, considering buying a Rockwood 2608BS or Flagstaff 26FKBS travel trailer (identical floorplans). Seen only at RV shows. Have not visited dealers yet, they are far from my home.

We love the floorplan! Wife wants to add a recliner (28" wide). We want to see where it would ride while travelling.

If anyone has a photo of the kitchen/living room when slide is in, please share.

Thanks!

I don't have a picture but I think the only place it might fit would be directly in front of front door. This would make it where you would be unable to get to refrig while on road. We have the 2608BSD with table/chairs.

Rockwood 2608bs

Rockwood 2608BS is one we are looking at but the price is a bit more than we were looking to spend and no porcelain toilet -which we prefer.
Can someone tell me if the recliner is extended (the one closest to the bathroom) is there room to walk by?
Any recommendations for extended warranties will be greatly appreciated as well.

Where did you get the bracket? That looks like a great solution.

It is one part of a bolt on bicycle carrier. Found it at a CW in a close-out bin a few years ago. Could not pass it up and now I get to use it. DW was unhappy, she said I shouldn't have bought it at that time.

The whole thing looks like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Swagman-Appro...gateway&sr=8-4

The piece I have is the one on the right.

The bottom box is bolted on to the rack and the top one nests into it and is held on by straps. Has been to Florida and back, no problems.

Thank you! Dealer to have one in within the next 2 weeks. The struggle is real!
Rockwood 2608BS or Cougar 26RFK - we will know if this is the one when we see it. ~C
