They were part of the reason we bought our Arctic wolf... The steps are very secure going up and down.
As far as rain... Aren't they under the awning?

The yellow handle is the latch, just turn it and drop them down

We have not used them yet ... The concept is very interesting, you're resting the weight on the floor and not hanging from the side of the camper.
The only problem I see is that you store them inside the camper, you flip them over behind the doors. So you are bringing dirt or water inside or at least something else to clean and or dry.
What are your thoughts or experience with them ???
We did look at them about a year ago and since we live in what's called the tempered rainforest it might be a bit of an issue.

My wife's first thoughts were.... you will dump all the mud, water, dust (well sometimes) and whatever else into the trailer.

Very often out here on the Westcoast of Canada you can't have your awning out because of wind, so the stairs are exposed to the weather and whatever else you can throw at it.

I can see these stair being very nice if you sit still in a park. If you move around a lot, especially in our neck of the woods, not so sure, I will stick to the old ones.

Cheers,

Cheers,
In May, the CG we were in had us under a dead tree. The tree was directly above our steps. The birds sat in that tree and "bombed" our steps. We ended up removing and trashing the carpeting we had on the steps and I had to hose down the metal. I'm very GLAD we did not have the steps that fold up into the trailer.

We have them on our Cardinal and absolutely love them. We keep a small whisk broom in the side/underbelly and simply sweep them off before folding them up. They are very solid and secure.

Your whisk broom wouldn't have had much effect on our bird poop! Except to spread it around.

They are solid and secure..........until they are not.

It's a potential problem. I still can't see the reason for this design, when the Glowsteps solve the same problem but are not inside the trailer. But these have suddenly taken the world by storm for some reason. I still don't have that big a problem with my OEM steps. Not sure what the original ones won't do.

Yet, very glad you guys like them. Not opposed, and glad they make chocolate, vanilla, AND strawberry!

I installed these on my 8312 a couple weeks ago. Well worth it. You can find for under $250 shipped.
