I am new to this forum. We just picked up our used 2012 Rockwood fifth wheel yesterday. Today we noticed there was condensation in the shower skylight. Upon further investigation we noticed damage to the ceiling and roof. We contacted the guy who sold it to us who indicated " it was in mint condition". He offered an email of a recall letter he received in January 2012 for the skylight. My question is that there is still one month warranty left can the seller put this problem through warranty? Or if we purchase extended warranty which we have a few weeks left to buy would it be covered? Or will Forest River fix it regardless due to the recall? I am just sick about this. Any insight would be appreciated. . Thanks!!
There is more discussion on the forum about this. Could it have been so hard for the guy to have had it taken care of before selling??? ~ ugh~ I would contact a warranty repair shop about this right away. Since it is a recall, I'm betting they'll take care of it.
Our feelings exactly!! He told us it was "mint"!! Only used a half dozen times. My husband drove to meet the guy in the dark. Didn't notice the problem until we inspected it in the daylight. Our fault...but really. Honesty would have been nice from the guy! I hope your right about Forest River taking care of it.
