New to this forum
I just found this forum this evening. It will be a good one for us. We just purchased our Rockwood this Spring and enjoy it a lot. A problem I had was when I took the trailer to our dealer to have a solar panel and inverter installed. When I got to the dealer and an employee came out to see where we would like the controls mounted and I opened the front door, we were met with a not too pleasant sight. The TV was hanging upside down by its wires. When we looked at the TV, the RCA jack was broken by the force of the fall. It turns out that the TV mounting bracket has 2 slots along the top and a formed groove along the bottom. The TV has corresponding tabs that slide into the slots and a piece that sits in the formed groove in the bottom of the mount. There is no mechanical fastener from the TV to the bracket. It relies on gravity to stay in place. I guess I hit the correct bump at the correct angle and the TV popped out. Dealer is contacting Forest River to see what they will do about this under warranty. Suggestion to anyone with a similar mounting system to check it out and see if your TV would come out with a bump. The dealer suggested that I might try fitting a piece of foam in the opening between the top of the TV and the cabinet.
We have about 9 miles of dirt/gravel road to and from our home. I guess I muust have hit just the correct bump.
