Newbie. Interior roof water sounds
Hi all. Newbie owner of Geo Pro 19FBS.
On first night out currently.
Sometimes it makes a popping dripping type sound, along sides towards top of roof, in interior of trailer.
It's not raining. But did a little over night. Roof is dry from outside.
It sounded like water going down onto outer edge. But isnt.
It only does it occasionally today, just parked at the rv site.
It seems a dumb question, but it is strange.

It is now sprinkling very lightly, almost cannot feel it.
The sound is more on the side of the slide out. It just sounds like a little stream or bubbling water.
There is a little water on the roof, but neither the amount on the roof, or the light sprinkling would seem to be enough to make this much noise inside. Photos attached.

Well team, turns out it was a stupid question, but I'll leave it up here on the forum anyway, for others.
Now that its raining more, and that noise has increased with the rain, it's now obvious that the roof just really transmits the sound really well into the interior even if only very light sprinkles of rain.
I'm new to this type of roof. Live in oregon. First trip with it. So now I know!

We've had three trailers now and they all have been super noisy in the rain. I was shocked the first night we camped in a rainstorm. I use earplugs to sleep.

If you think it's loud when it's raining just wait until you park under a oak tree when the acorns are dropping. Sounds like hailstones on a tin roof.
Sign we had made for our campsite attached.

Worse than acorns - birds.
We got put under a dead tree once that the birds loved. Bird poop EVERYWHERE. I had to buy new carpeting for the steps.

Ah, bird poo. Yikes, that makes sense. Must be hard to scrub off the top of the trailer, and the a c unit etc.

Would that occasional water your hear running off, be coming from your slideout toppers, by chance. Rain water does tend to pool in the toppers with a little sagging, and will run off the ends and down the sides of the trailer with some inside movement or a sudden breeze which flaps the topper. We have that happen regularly on our Rockwood 2608SB trailer, even after water may have been sitting there days after last rain. Just a possible elimination.

Our trailer is tremendously noisy in the rain. Especially under the slides. Much noisier than our Nash was. But the Nash was built like a tank.
