Newbie question about battery
New owner of a geo pro 19. When storage the trailer, let’s say for two months, do I need to remove the batteries and take them home to charge them time to time?
Thanks

If they are charged, you can disconnect the ground wire and leave it. Won't freeze and will be nicely charged in months after you hook it back up.

If your GeoPro has solar and you store where the sun can get to it then the solar can keep you topped up and take care of any parasitic drain such as the CO/propane detector, radio, and control boards in furnace, fridge & water heater.

just use the battery disconnect switch, if your Geo Pro comes with one.

I brought it into the garage and hooked it up to a trickle charger that I got at Batteries Plus.

Be sure the factory switch disconnects all loads. My unit did not so I added additional switch at battery.

What you don't want is for your trailer to go into storage with a low battery and sit.
You also don't want to pull your trailer out and head for a trip with low batteries.
I'd pull them and bring them home so they don't get stolen.

Thanks all. One more question, does the ceiling AC have heater unit? When I plug in the shore power, can I use AC to heat the trailer instead of using propane?
GEO PRO 19BH.
Thanks

If there is no visible switch for heat on controls then no, electric heat on AC unit, purchase a small shelf heater with thermostat control, these are much quieter than any force air units

Thanks. How large the space heater should I buy? 500w, 1000w or 1500w? My trailer's shore power is 30amps

One more question about the battery charging.
From I learned online, if I plug in the shore power, the batteries will be charged. The trailer comes with two Centennial DC24MF batteries. How long it takes to charge them full from 50% if shore power is plugged in?
By the way, I have two batteries but why from Go Power controller panel I can only see one battery?
Thanks.

I just use the battery disconnect, and mine seems to be fine. Though I am fairly sure that the tongue jack and slide will still work with that off. As long as nothing else is on though, seems to be very little if any parasitic drain. We keep ours in a storage lot sometimes going a month or so between trips.

GEO PRO 19BH.
Thanks

I am pretty sure there is a "heat strip" option for the Geo Pro AC's. I think it runs off 110vac though, and is really only "to take the edge off" on chilly days until your furnace or separate heater warm the room.

I believe the controller let's you set up 2 battery "banks"...so if you have 2 batteries linked as a single "bank" that is the A circuit in the controller. Rather than having each battery in its own circuit. The Go Power 30A PWM controller will prioritize A all the time as well, before it charges/manages B. If I have read others pots and assessments correctly lol
