I replaced my Castle Rock tires with Carlisle tires on my 2018 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604 WS after having a blow out on rt. 77 north of Columbia, SC. The work was done at a truck service ship that I was just lucky enough to pull off in front of. The mechanics really liked the specs on the Carlisle. Better load range, speed range .... happy so far and saved the $$ that Goodyear’s would cost for the same specs.

I used to think like you. I have tpms on my trailer Had 3 of 6 blowout on 3 consecutive trips. Then had 2 at once. I have put 15,000 on the endurance’s. And no problems.

Whichever you decide, if you plan to use a temperature and pressure monitoring system, i would put in metal valve stems.

I have a 2016 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604ws in need of new tires. I have lots of questions.
Current original tires are China ST225/75R15 class C trailer tires.
1. Can the rims handle increased air pressure to upgrade to class D tires? 50 to 65 psi max?
2. Stay with trailer tires? I'm considering Light Truck tires.
3. Will probably go with Made in USA tires.

Any other thoughts, insights, recommendations from the collective experts?

Thanks so much for your insights and experiences.
I had the same exact trailer! I upgraded the tires with no problem. Kept them at 75 psi and it towed way better.

Off topic question.....did you get the recall notice about the slide issue and having to install a "lift it"?

Goodyear Endurance and don't look back. They are wearing much better than the Carlisle's I replaced the "Chinabombs" with. Like many others, replaced the "Chinabombs" after having a tread separate from the tire.
