OUCH! Murphy Bed Wardrobe

Enjoying our new 2509S, but have discovered an issue - the protruding, very sharp corner (lower inside, next to the bed) is a hazard to my noggin! I've banged into it a few times already; wife also.

Anyone have a fix for that? I'm thinking some sort of cushion around the corner, but it'll have to be pretty thin to provide clearance for raising and lowering the bed.

Otherwise, so far this trailer is super!

Take a look at the corner bumpers for coffee tables in the baby section of the store. As in child proofing. These may work.

I've elbowed mine. Cut the skin, I bled a bit.

I've head-butted mine. Right between the eyes. Broke the skin, I bled a bit.

Yep, it's a problem ... for me. My wife has no such problems. I'm a very average 5'11", 175 lbs. So, it's not a question of me being too big for the bed. Just not careful enough.

I may also look for a way to soften those edges, because ...

HA! Glad I'm not the only one! Got enough battle scars without adding to them!

I've bumped my head a couple times on these corners. I did what was suggested above by sticking a couple of those "corner baby bumpers". The problem with mine are they use that very thin double sided adhesive tape. Unfortunately, the bed rubs them as you raise and lower it and I was forever finding my bumpers in my basement. I finally screwed them in and that fixed the problem.

I've rubbed up against mine a few times as well, so far nothing major. You could get those clear plastic strips for wall corners (they come in 4' sections I think). Self adhering. Maybe cut 3" or so and apply it in just the right spot, could take the "bite" out of the corner

I found this out on our 2104s last week too! Wow! talk about waking up real fast! When I got home I used 3 of these on each side but havenít put the Murphy bed down yet so donít know if they will stick. I even thought about filing the corners down but decided against it.

Baby bumpers work great. I did the same thing-actually woke up fighting with the corner. You can get them from Amazon.com

Corner bumper fix

I found these brown rubber corner covers, I think they were furniture corners but glued them on a few years ago and still works. Yes I also got scratched and banged.Sorry, do not remember where I got them.
