Our First Trip!

We went out for the first time last weekend. We had a great time and our Rockwood 8310SS was PERFECT!! It's a 2015 model and everything worked great!!

We live in North Texas and we went to a nearby park at Lake Lavon. For those of you that live in this part of the country you know what the weather can be like in the Spring. We camped for 3 nights and the weather started out in the 70's and made it to the mid 80's by Friday afternoon!!! Well, Mother Nature does have a sense of humor, doesn't she?? She decided to push that arctic front through and by Friday afternoon we had tornado warnings, severe thunderstorms, hail and high winds!! The temperature Saturday morning was 34 degrees!!! Yep!! A 50 degree temperature drop overnight!!

This weather change gave us an opportunity to use all of the systems in our trailer. It really was a good thing and I now have a much better feel for the trailer!!

We can't wait for our next trip out!! Still staying close to home because I have to work weekends, but we feel like we are 100's of miles from home!!

We are going to love the RV'ing life!!

Congrats on the new trailer. We just purchased a Rockwood 2906ws and can't wait to get that first weekend away with it and break it in.

Don't worry too much- sh*t is going to happen. Just a matter of time! Seriously though- glad to see you had a good time. You are going to have years of fun and memories! Get out as often as you can, and just bide your time to retirement. Then you can seriously travel. We are so close now that the bit is chomping in my mouth! Have a drink on me!

( believe I may have fished Lake Lavon years ago...)

Congrats on the new trailer. We were out at lavonia the 6th through 8th. That is one of our favorite spots. First few hours were great ,then storms and tornados started up. We got lucky just a bunch of rain. Going to Clearlake in a couple of weeks. Any way, enjoy the new trailer.

Congrats!! Looks great! You wanna talk cruel....I'm looking at over a foot of new snow in the last 2 days with more coming down, and wind chills around 15 degrees. There won't be any camping in MN any time soon. Wish we could head your way....but we're stuck here!

I'm trying to book a campsite in Lavonia now. We live right across HWY 78!!
