Pull the plate off the mousehole at a minimum. Then look inside the trailer body. The hose has gotta be in there somewhere connected to the gas main line.

Ya still gotta look inside the mouse hole and under/inside the trailer to connect any gas hose.

Eureka!
Well, I looked in the front storage where, along with a set of towel hanger bars and a toilet paper holder, I found a 3' extension hose with a quick connect. Should be more than enough now. Thank you for the input!

I had the same issue with my Lockwood. Opened the inside and found an extra 18 inches. Look inside , take a panel off.

Our grill is on a swing away mount on the bumper. It gets used every trip.

Worst case you could go to a place specializing in hoses or order off the internet and splice in an additional length of hose. While you are at it, get a long piece to splice in that would allow you to move the entire unit away from the rv if you wanted to.
What you have now appears to be a disaster waiting to happen.

Mine coils behind an access panel in the bathroom cabinet. I would check that out because it could be wrapped around the P trap or somethings else.
You can order an extension from etrailer or other site as well.

Ours gets used a lot. A whole lot. It is very well seasoned.

We got a side attach grill (similar to the one shown in kandl's post) with our 2014 Rockwood Signature 8282. It also came with a small condiment shelf for spatulas and such. It is fairly easy to set up. Just slides on a rail mounted to the sidewall. There is a propane port provided for the maon propane system. We have used the grill a number of times. Unfortunately, a strong wind from one side will blow out the flame which is dangerous. At times I have added foil to the air holes on the windward side to keep the wind at bay and flame lighted. Other times it is hard to get propane to flow to the grill. There is a valve at the propane outlet and another on the grill, but opening both still does not produce propane at times. We have propane everywhere else. Just sometimes seems to get a vapor lock or something. I just bring a small charcoal Weber grill as a backup. I do like the idea of barbecuing away from the RV wall.

Read this topic and wanted to chime in. We have a 2020 Forest River 263BH. It has an outdoor kitchen with a flat top griddle. We camped last weekend for the first time to open things up and get everything working. Bought two nice steaks to cook outside. I put them on the new griddle.
It Cooked them just ok, but wasn’t impressed.
Upon returning Monday I went on Amazon and bought a Weber Q1200, also bought a low pressure quick disconnect hose kit. Going to remover the pressure regulator and get it hooked up today. Griddles are for eggs, not steaks...
So what I’m saying... there is a big difference in grills vs griddles. I now have both and will be much more happier.

Outdoor Grill Do You Use Yours?
Our 2020 came with the cheap grill. We really disliked it’s performance, in the beginning. We have a Weber Q we use at home. It use to be our motor home grill but it’s too big to fit in any of the compartments. I looked at options like the baby Q to replace the “free” grill, but none would fit in the slide compartment.
I decided to try a copper grill mat and now the grill works great. We make at least 1 meal per day on the grill when we camp.
As far as hanging on the side of the trailer, it’s awkwardly tall for us most places. The solution is built in though. The mount can be sat on the ground and the posts fit vertically in the grill.

Our decade old RVQ still works good as is. Never utilized the standalone configuration, though cuz I'd be grill'n on me knees.
