Picked it up

Hello everyone. We finally picked up our ne Geo Pro 19fd. Took too long to get it but between their schedule and mine, we finally got it.
Never towed anything in my life but it did tow just perfectly. Now to learn how to back it up...lol.

Congrats! Backing up just takes time and practice. Knowing your surroundings, and good communication! The age old saying for learning how to back a trailer...put your hand on bottom of steering wheel, the rear of the trailer will go in the direction you move your hand. Another tool is buy a cheap set of walkie talkies!! (Got that idea from this forum!) You have one and your helper has the other! They can tell you “drivers side” or “passenger side” for direction you need to go. I wish I would’ve thought about radios years ago!! No yelling “no the other way!” Or “what?? I can’t freakin hear you!” And the all famous “ I cat see you when you’re behind the damn trailer!” Lol takes a lot of the stress out! Plus you’ll look like you’re pros when everyone is sitting at their campsite drinking a beer watching you!! Good luck, happy camping and just take your time! If you want practice before your 1st trip, grab some cones and find a parking lot. Figure how far ahead of site you need to be before backing. Angle the camper and tow vehicle slightly across the road for a good angle of attack to back in, Use the radios and TAKE YOUR TIME! before long, you’ll be the ones sitting at your camp site, drinking a beer watching the next “new” guy!

backing up is not as tough, just go slow and steady. you will get the hang of it. when backing up with a trailer its the opposite of backing up with a normal car.

slow and steady does it for me..

Congratulations, we are just up the street aways in Copley. We got ours in December. Thus far it has been great. We've been back and forth to FL twice and only problem was a hot water leak in bathroom sink which i just tightened up. I was real apprehensive of a mass produced trailer having previously owned Casita's. We do not regret getting the larger trailer with a real bath and not crawling over one another to get out of bed.
