It does seem very high for both models.
I'd call Forest River and ask why.
I have a 2011 Rockwood Signature UltraLite, model 8285WS which is very similiar and it says my dry pin weight is 1,108 lbs. The only difference is my kitchen is on the side instead of rear.
Let us know if you find out.
