Power Awning Query

Hello, we have a Rockwood Ultra-Lite 8280 with an electric Awning. Does anyone know what make is the Awning and if there is a suitable 'Add-a-room' or 'Patty-O' we can add to totally enclose the area? thank you

Black is right they are all dometic. If you open your awning you will see the label with the model and manufactures date on it on the tube itself. Then go to there web site. If you do that what are you going to do if the wind comes up?

You will have to support the awning tube with something if you even add a sunscreen. VOE.

That's the reason I bought the electric awning. Two a.m., wind rises, awning starts to flap and shudder, I push button, go back to bed.

lol....I think all newbies experience this! We were on a mountainside here in Colorado and I honestly thought a grizzly was outside the camper, rocking it back and forth!!

Well that's cute, but my question was to the OP Kerandine with a screen room attached, but that would be a site to see rolling up your awning with a sunroom attached at 2:00 AM....

If the wind picks up @ 200 am and your electric awning isn't tied down you might be to late already.

Especially if it's raining and you had one side tilted for rain run off. [emoji12]

I always roll my awning up at night. I have lost two over the last 30 years. One was tied down, and the wind still took it. If I leave the site for a few hours, I still roll it up !! Ya it's a pain, but I know it's safe.

That would have be a No No at Amana Rally,My GOOD Neighbor just (Happened) to still be Up at (2.30am) and held 1 pole while I held the other pole and my Wife pushed the switch to retract! The Awning would have been (OVER the TOP) of our unit by just (Push the Button)! PS Thanks again Turbs! Youroo!! PS, screen room support will need (Support Poles) on Awning Tube!

May be a true statement by OC concerning add-a-room but not applicable to sunshade specifically for an electric awning. The one shown stays with the awning when retracted and a provided added panel is zipped to the bottom that reaches the ground if needed. No issues for 2 years of installation time.
