Power cord length

Could someone with a Rockwood Ultralite please let me know the length of their power cord. I assume it’s 30 feet I would like to know for sure. We don’t pick it up for a couple of months, so we can’t just go measure it.

I assume most people travel with an extension cord for it. Did you go with a 30 or 50 foot? My power connection is on the drivers side rear of the trailer.

Tia

I have one but it's an older model. I think mine is probably a 25'.. somewhere in there. I know it won't reach the front of the camper and that's 33'.

I would strongly recommend buying a 25-30' extension. It comes on reality handy when you need it. I've only used it a handful of times but it's been a good thing to have when needed.

doubtful you'll ever need anything other than you 30' cord since most any rv park or campground has the power pedestal right where you cord exits your camper : )

I would wait until you get the trailer. In 5 seasons of camping I needed my extension like twice using only the stock power cord. The first time I needed an extension I went to the campground office to see if I could buy one and they had a few to lend for those campsites that might need it. After that I bought and additional 20 footer, which I have used twice since I bought it.

THe standard for connections is driver door rear of the trailer, and that is where power posts are in campgrounds 98% of the time. Other times they are in the rear of the site.

We've got a 25'(?) RV extension cord and pack it with us every where. It's easier to have it and not need it, than it is to need one and not have it. We've also used it when we use the generator, to gain some distance between us and it when we camp in unserviced sites.

For some reason before I got my extension cord I had problems with the cord that came with TT being one or two feet too short.

Then I bought a 25' extension and the problem went away. I did use it once when I stopped at a friend's house so I could reach the power outlet inside his barn but campgrounds? As soon as I got the extension the power pedestals "moved closer"

I have actually been in two CG where the pedestal was "just out of reach" of my power cord. Although I have an extension, I simply moved up two feet or so to make it work. Had to park else where other than in front.

If you have one and never use it it'll still be better than not having one and needing it. They're inexpensive and don't take up too much room.

We went to an older CG in SC last fall... All of the pedistals (as well as the water connection) was at the front of the site.

Buy one, throw it in a cabinet somewhere and if you need it you'll have it.

Pat Hoppe I have a 2019 Ultralight 2706WS and my power cord is 36 feet long. My camper is wired for 50 amps and the power cord is one that can handle 50 amps. I am not sure if that makes a difference but wanted to include it so you know what I have, Good luck with your new camper.

I have the 2020 ultralight 2608BS. It came with a 30' 50A cord. I bought a 25' extension...

I have a 30 foot cord ( I think) on our 2504s. I bought another 25 foot extension cord. So far the only time we have used our cord is when using the generator to get it farther away from the camper. At the racetrack I can put the generator in front of the truck,so it can’t be heard from the inside of the camper. Sometimes when I have been close, I use the 30-50 adapter as a 1 foot extension cord. I would recommend anyone with a 30 amp camper get a extension cord. Jay

I have needed an extension cord a couple of times. Weird site layout and such.
