Power for Macerator

We are going to us a macerator on the new 8289ws, where is the nearest 12 v supply large enough for 15 amps to run the macerator.

Go to the batteries- that way you’re sure the wires are big enough for the load you’ll be pulling.

I agree.
Go directly to the battery(ies) with wiring the proper size to run the macerator pump. It's not all that far to the front storage where the battery(ies) are housed.

Can I ask what macerator you went with and why? We are looking for one and would like input from others. I saw where someone took a heavy duty extension cord and modified it to extend to the batteries. That seemed to be a good solution if your wires don't reach.

if you're still shopping, it wouldn't hurt to take a look at "Sewer Solution",
five years and still going strong,
it's a macerator system with: ...... no electricity, no burned out motors, no jammed gears, no getting hot,
and a whole lot easier on the wallet,

FloJet Macerator:
https://www.amazon.com/Flojet-18555-...Jet++macerator

I pump my poop uphill to my sewer bladder that sits in my truck bed.

The problem with these is that a handful of them are triggering the overheat alarm prematurely and will periodically shut off. I don’t know if it was a problem for a while or if it still continues. I do know 2 friends with older ones have the issue and I & another friend with newer ones do not.

I went with the Flo-Jet system because I wanted one that I could use to pump the waste into my blue tank lying in the bed of my truck. I ran a "home run" wire using some 10/2 with ground Romex I had lying around. I ran the wire up through the covered under-belly of my TT. Up front I tied directly to the battery then placed a 20 amp re-settable breaker in the line. In the rear I tied in a 2-pole connector the same as is on the pump. I also installed a 2-pole connector so that when I'm not using the dedicated line I have a place to hook it to keeping it dry and clean. When I get ready to use the pump I just hook it onto the sewer connection of the TT, connect a dedicated garden hose to the pump and into the tank, hook up the electrical connection then turn the pump on and fill the tank. Emptying the blue tank is so easy, just attach the sewer hose place the end in the dump station drain and lift the tank. This past weekend I was using this system and two other campers saw/heard what I was doing then came over to ask about it. Each of them had used their blue tanks and had to drag it behind their truck to the dump site.
