Progressive surge protectors

I currently have trailer with 30 amp service, also have the progressive 30 amp surge protector. The new trailer has 50'amp service, so have ordered progressive 50 amp surge protector. The question is when in park where you are plugged into 30 amp service Does 30'amp unit still work using the step down plug on 50 amp to 30 amp then using 30 amp, surge protector. If so then I should keep both. Thanks

Its better to use 50AMP as 50AMP generally means you have 2 AC's and 50AMP will be required to run both. If your not running the 2 AC's than 30AMP can be used.

I have the Progressive HW50 and use it for both 30 and 50 amp service. The 50 works fine when stepping down.
