Question..re % iff current Rockwood Mini Lites

We purchased our 2020 Ultra lite 2608bs before Covid..ordred in December 2019. Got a great price w/all our options. Friends of ours are currently looking to buy a new RV & like the Rockwood Mini Lite 2516s. What % off MSRP are people getting lately? Think we had about 33% off. Are those days over?

I think 33% off is a thing of the past unless a dealer really wants to get rid of a rig. The market really depends on where you live. They should probably start by web surfing once they know the rig that they want.

Just ordered

I just ordered a 2021 Mini lite 2511s. $7K off MSRP. Great value on my trade (2015 KZ Vision 19RBS). $2K above NADA. I got quotes on two different campers from two dealers. They printed the NADA sheet. Good deal? I don't know, but good enough. I only paid $19K for the Vision 6 years ago, so decent value. Problem is - how long it will take to come from the factory.

Most dealers we looked at was just doing a flat 25% off and no negotiations. This was mostly locally owned dealers. We didn't even bother talking to lazy D or Camping World.

Depends. Models are built in batches & sometimes there are a shortage of parts. Our 2205S was ordered last October and we expect to pick it up at the dealer in mid March

It would not be surprising to find RV prices returning to "normal" as the pandemic becomes more limited in scope and severity. Many who purchased RVs for additional housing during the peak of the pandemic will also find less need for their RVs and previously owned RVs will become easier to obtain.

Find your desired rig on RV Wholesalers site (if they carry it) and ask for a price quote. You'll have it in your email in seconds. We bought our in late 2018 and nobody else could touch them. We made the 650mile trip (x2) to pick it up from NC. Even if you don't buy from them, you now know where the current market sits.

I think there will actually be a slump with the market being saturated with late-model used trailers for sale cheap. Many of the COVID newbies will realize camping is not for them and will such their recent purchase.

That won't help someone trading up. The trade-in/resale value of their current trailer will have slumped, too.
