Without modifications... Just don't. I wish I had pictures to help make my case... but I was too busy prying my bumper back into place, picking up bent bikes, and trying to figure out how to strap it all back into place while simultaneously avoiding being run over while on the side of the road. The "bumper" peeled off the frame like a tin can. Apparently there's actually a reason why the bike rack said do not use on RV......

As someone who lost a bike, stubbornly believing it would work. I ask all to have someone videotape your camper and watch how much the bikes bounce while being towed over rougher terrain you may encounter. It's simply not worth the risk..

Counting four bicycles lying along I95 NB this weekend. I can't say for certain how they got there but... we did see one bike bungee corded to a ladder on a 5er. I don't think I would want them where I could not see them. My Kuat rack says their racks should not be mounted on the back of towable RVs.

Swagman makes a RV rated rear rack. You do need 2 inch hitch mounted on the frame though.

I have a hitch that had been u-bolted to my old Keystone. Would the 4 Square Safety Struts give the bumper enough support to handle a 4 bike rack or should I spend the extra money and purchase a Curt 13703 that mounts to the frame?

A number of folks have used these. Have not seen any reports of failure.

The issue here is not just the bumper ( aka black tank discharge hose holder) but the fact that your TT is a Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite. The Ultra Lite means light duty frame. Adding anything on the back of an ultra lite frame is is not a good idea.

If someone is ingenious, has no warranty requirements a rear hitch mount can be installed. I would make sure you go back 4 feet and tie to paper thin frame with some welded angle brackets and bolt a hitch to these at minimum 4 places. Then buy a Swagman Escapee rack, this is heavy duty rack rated for RV use. Just bought one and installed on my Heartland hitch mount.

I took mine to a legitimate fabricator, it is the only smart way to go. Mine is years out of warranty so that is something for you to consider.

Ok so I gave up on the bike rack and bought a golf cart. Changed tow vehicle to a truck to load cart in the bed. Good to go now!!!

Modified bumper w/ Thule T4

MTB trip to Warrior Creek, NC for the Easter weekend. Very nice campsites and super fun bermed trail systems.
