Rear camera sold for Forest River Rockwood

Just bought a 2015 Rockwood Signature Ultra lite. Love it.

2 Questions I have is how valuable is it to buy the rear view camera?
Other question is where do I buy the reading lamp bulbs which are LED 18Watt max. I live in Hemet/San Jacinto California.
Thanks

Congrates on the new unit.

Can't help with the rear camera, DW and I are looking at the 2014 or 2015 8289WS.

What model did you get?

LED's are available online at this website:

Camera

Installed a hard wired system. Use on the road and for backing up into camping spot or storage. All kind of systems available. You need to figure what you want to spend or type, ie (radio or hard wire) Good luck.

Congrat on your purchase. The back up camera is pretty much owner choice and is not a high priority item. If buying one make sure it has a large receiver screen most come with a dinky one and hard to see. I have the Furion only because the tt had it prewired for one. It works great and is wireless but as I said it came with a micky mouse screen. I talked to the folks at Goshen this year and a larger screen is in the works so I will check into getting the new version. Later RJD

camera reply

Thanks so much for the response to the camera question and your honesty.
My husband will opt for the bigger screen.

In using your camera does the benefit come while your traveling with your RV for traffic in back of you while driving or mostly for backing up with the RV?
Regards, Clara

I have a Garmin RV760LMT GPS I use and Garmin has a wireless backup camera that works with that I installed on my Windjammer. This give me one less thing sitting on the dash and the 760 is a 7" GPS so it gives a 7" screen for the backup camera. Works great, very clear detailed picture and it works both for backing up and looking at traffic behind me.
