Rear Stabilizer Motor

Just a note as this spring the rear stabilizers would not power down. Not even with the hand crank. No voltage to motor switch and motor so found a blown fuse and tried again. Blew fuse. Short story is that the motor had been in a rain on the way home in the fall Put the trailer in the garage (grin) for the winter without lowering the rear stabilizers. With a bit of work found that the motor that drives the system had rusted tight and was completely frozen. Removed the motor and then could hand crank the jacks down ok. It took a bit of time on the phone but was covered under the warrantee.
The new motor does not have any drain for water if it did get in. The old motor had one but a funky rubber boot that just kept the water in. Not sure what to do next time except go south snowbirding and stay out of the water...right!!
