Rockwood 2018 8311ws questions

If any of you wonderfull people can give me some help on some questions.

Water filter is in the lower pantry and really hard to get at. Afraid I might strip or over tighten. Should I just go with inline filter on the supply side of camper.

My #2 awning in the back of the camper does not retract all the way on the inside track about 3 inches. Is this normal? If not how do I fix it.

I have the 2017 model, water filter is in the same spot. I use a blue camco inline filter outside and have never touched the inside one. I'll probably change it at the end of this year since it does provide filtration for the fresh tank and acts as a secondary filter for the city water connection.

Your awning should be retracting all the way.
I'll try to take a pic of mine tonight.

Probable cause,,,,the fabric of the awning is not centered on the roller or on the wall where it connects to the trailer.
In my case, it was both.
Center on the wall side and put 2 metal screws on both sides, and center on the roller, drill through both fabric and tube and pop riveted using stainless steel rivets.
On our 4th summer now, works great !
