Rockwood 2205S "Real" Hitch Weight

I know that the advertised hitch weight is 530#, but I was wondering what others have found the hitch weight to be after the trailer is loaded?

I am in the market for a WDH and want to buy the correct size.

Thanks

I'm towing with the #1400lb arms that I used on my previous trailer. I thought they would be far too stiff but the folks at Equal-i-zer encouraged me to give them a try before purchasing a replacement head and arms. My 2205 tows great. Not to say I would recommend these but I would lean to going heavier rather than lighter if undecided when you purchase.

If considering Equalizer, give them a call and confirm but I believe their head that accepts the 1000lb arms also accepts heavier and lighter. I'd think the 800 or 1000 lb would work great.
